"As a Gulf War veteran and 20 year Army service member, I am honored to sponsor an event that will have a special impact on these men and women." The program will kick off at Start Skydiving in Lebanon, Ohio on Memorial Day Weekend as part of the Thank You Foundation Boogie. BIG WAY CAMP Want to learn how to fly well (and safely) on any size RW formation? Are you just starting out with RW and want to learn more? Are you an experienced FS skydiver and want to brush up on your skills? Then this 2-day camp is for you! As long as you have an A-license and can fly competently on small formations, you qualify to attend. This 2-day camp will give you a chance to practice everything from mental preparation to exits to safe diving to proper tracking. You will receive a DVD of all your jumps. The plan is to make 8 jumps with video debriefs with John and I being available for questions at any time. To increase the learning curve, we will break the camp into two groups with John Hart taking one group and Ed Lightle the other. Then after the individual groups have demonstrated the necessary skills, we will combine the groups and do a bigger formation to wrap up the camp. When you finish the camp, you should be qualified to skydive competently on 20-ways and slightly larger. The goal is to set a DZ Record 30 way at the end of the camp. Place: Start Skydiving Dates: TBD (probably mid-July) Times: 8:30 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday Cost: $225 per person (includes 8 jumps, DVD, and cost for videographer and a grill out for lunch) All interested parties should email

In both aircraft do not to re-buckle the seat belts. Someone could catch a foot in the seat belt as they are exiting the aircraft. (really bad, really, really bad) Also in the Grand Caravan (Spaceship)remember to shorten the belt by the door so that it will not beat against the side of the aircraft. And always remember, If you're in the market for new gear, make sure you check out our sponsors on the left side of this newsletter. All the manufacturers we support are top-of-the-line. Ask manifest if you are in need of something; Kip or John will sit down with you and explain the benefits of having the right equipment. |

| National Skydiving League | Mid-East Skydiving League News Greetings Four-Way Junkies, It's only two weeks before our inaugural meet in the Mid-East Skydive League. It's coming up fast, and I hope everyone is as pumped about it as I am! We have had some groups get together, and do some minor training at Start on those days we have had good weather.
For those of you who intend on coming out to the meet, and do not yet have a full team, now is the time to talk to others of like mind. To help facilitate that, individuals or partial teams, please forward to me your intended division and your current status as soon as possible. I'll return an e-mail to all respondents no later than Monday May 19th with the list of names gathered. People within each division can then contact each other ahead of the meet to form your team. Don't forget to ask around for available video people. We have some video people available. But without any feedback so far, it's difficult to know if we'll have enough for everyone.
Those who DO have a full team ready to go, please forward your members names/team name and division.
Details about meet day:
Competitors briefing will be held at 7:30 SHARP, regardless of weather. We want an early start so that everyone gets their full 6 rounds in. If you party, do so lightly on Friday. Videographers must also be in attendance.
There is a registration fee of $100 per team, prior to manifesting for round 1. This is independent of the jump fees.
The draws for each division will be available on the NSL web site Friday evening, and we will have hardcopies available to the teams Saturday morning.
Plan to stay the weekend as there will be other activities at the DZ after the meet is complete. Also, if the weather is non co-operative on Saturday, then we intend to either start or continue on Sunday, whichever is necessary.
MESL Schedule Meet 1 - May 24 Meet 2 - Jun 21 Meet 3 - July 19 Meet 4 - Aug 16 NSL Playoffs - Sept 20 - 21 Rain dates are the Sundays. If good weather prevails and the meets complete in one day, we'll have organized big(ger) ways on the Sundays. If anyone has an interest in doing some 4-way this summer, feel free to contact me directly at
